Units

In the metric system volume is measured in units such as cubic metres (m^{3}) and cubic centimetres (cm^{3}).

Units like litres (L) and millilitres (mL) are derived units in the metric system and are not units in the International System of Units (SI) .

Although units like litres and millilitres are not units in SI, they are accepted for use with SI.

1 L = 1 dm^{3}

1 L = 0.001 m^{3}

1 mL = 0.000001 m^{3}

1 mL = 1 cm^{3}
