Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes items such as safety glasses, goggles, hard hats, safety footwear, and any other equipment a worker wears to help prevent injuries. When hazards cannot be eliminated, steps must be taken to minimize the risk. Using PPE is one of the most effective methods of reducing risks once the engineering and administrative controls are in place.
