Initial Definition

An outcome occurs as a result of performing an experiment.

A list of possible outcomes for a given experiment is usually known.


Example

In an experiment of flipping two coins, there are four possible outcomes.

- All of the outcomes of this experiment are shown below as a list.


If "H" represents getting a head, and "T" represents getting a tail; the following represents all of the outcomes:
