The Thrill of Flight Acknowledgements and Credits

Alberta Learning would like to thank the following organizations for their support and the individuals cited for their hard work and special skills:

The concept of an Alberta Learning resource about flight was developed and promoted by the Alberta Aviation Council. Alberta Learning would like to thank the Alberta Aviation Council for their ongoing contribution and support. Without their involvement, this resource would not be available to all Alberta teachers, parents, and students. Thanks especially to Joy Carscadden, First Vice-President, for the endless hours she has volunteered to make this resource available. Her expertise as a pilot and her knowledge of Alberta aviation has been critical to this project.

Rocky View School District 41 for supporting Brian Jackson's participation in the project; and a special acknowledgement to Brian Jackson, Chestermere Middle School, for his dedication to students and his willingness to share his work, time, and expertise. His devotion to aviation is greatly appreciated.

Brian Jackson conducted the original on-site classroom testing and subsequent field-testing. Brian Jackson continued to work closely with the project team throughout production.

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) for agreeing to design and produce the video footage for this project; with special thanks to two instructors of the Film and Video Production CTSR Programs, Applied Arts and Science Department: Laurie Johnson and Philip Letourneau and their wonderfully talented and devoted students.

Also, thanks to Don Romanchuk, Multimedia Information and Technologies Department, SAIT, for his work digitizing the video footage.
