David George

David George is currently principal at Crestwood Elementary School, Medicine Hat. He has served on the current K–12 Social Studies Advisory Committee since its inception. A teacher for more than 27 years, he continues to teach Social Studies 30/33 each year in summer school. David served as Social Studies Department Head at Medicine Hat High School until 1988, when he took a sabbatical to complete his MEd at the University of Lethbridge, where he was awarded the Governor General’s Gold Medal for highest academic standing in graduate studies. David has a passion for social studies and for teaching, and he loves working closely with teachers.
