Students interview adults to investigate what life was like for young people in Alberta 50 or more years ago and then decide whether or not things were better in the old days

Students determine how their community has grown economically, socially and culturally since 1905 by selecting five archival images that best tell the story of changes in the community

Students explore the importance of preserving heritage sites or buildings by completing an application form for historical designation and then determining which one(s) should be designated as a local or regional historic site

Students learn about regional and provincial sites, attractions and events that have economic, cultural, historical or recreational significance by creating a multimedia presentation that promotes the location or activity to a visitor to Alberta

Students investigate the roles of prominent Albertans in the province's development since 1905 by identifying an assigned person's most significant contribution
